Uniden America Corporation, a subsidiary of Uniden Holdings based in Japan, manufactures and markets wireless consumer electronic products including Bearcat® scanners, FRS/GMRS radios, marine radios, radar detectors, and other wireless personal communications products. Based in Flower Mound, TX, Uniden America Corporation sells its products through retailers and distributors throughout North, Central and South America. By utilizing the concept of TSUNAGO which means 'to connect', Uniden is growing its business by connecting people, businesses and the world, to a more prosperous future.

• 1966: Established Uni Electronics Corporation
• 1974: Changed company name to Uniden Corporation
• 1979: Established Uniden America Corp.
• 1982: Television ads featuring Jack Nicklaus drive cordless telephone sales boom.
• 1985: Tokyo Head Office is set up in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
• 1986: Uniden Corporation had listed on the over-the-counter market of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
• 1988: Uniden Corporation had listed in the second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
• 1989: Established Uniden Australia Pity. Ltd.
• 1989: Established Uniden New Zealand Ltd.
• 1990: Uniden Corporation had listed on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
• 1993: Established Uniden Electronics Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
• 1996: Uniden Corporation had completed corporate headquarter building in Hatchobori, Cho-ku.
• 1997: Established Uniden Holding, Inc.
• 2002: Established Uniden Electronics Products (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd.
• 2007: Established Uniden Vietnam Ltd.
• 2015: Changed from Uniden Corporation to Uniden Holdings Corporation. Established Uniden Japan Co.
• 2021: Acquisition of majority shares of ATTOWAVE CO.,LTD.
• 2022: Uniden Holdings Corporation acquired by New York based Cornwall Capital.
• 2022: Unveiled the R4 and R8 Extreme Long-Range Radar Detectors
• 2022: First to introduce FM radio band into the market. Released the PRO78LTXFM, Bearcat 880FM, PRO538HHFM CB Radios.
• 2023: Uniden America Corporation moves to new facilities in Flower Mound, Texas.
• 2024: Introduced the BCD260DN and BCD160DN radio scanners.
