S@sammylad:
clicked on the youtube link ..seems a ok antenna.... we will see as its on its way to me
@Brunlea:
I've no experience of using one, Ringway Manchester did a review of one though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaKeP0lUOlc
@Brunlea:
I have an AirNav RadarBox 3D that still uses the default little antenna. I've stuck it to a tile on the roof and it doesn't do a bad job, lol. I might get a proper outdoor antenna at some point
S@sammylad:
what do you think of the Skyscan Desktop 25-2000MHz????
S@sammylad:
yes thats the connection i need for it ...thank you so much for your help i will be looking at that antenna
S@sammylad:
yes it is for aircraft ..i was hoping to get a better antenna ..but dont know what to getthats better than the standard 1 i have for it
@Brunlea:
Something like this (the antenna not the bundle) perhaps - https://amzn.eu/d/fyhb8M5
@Brunlea:
The sbs-1e is for tracking aircraft, isn't it? I think that will have an SMA connector for an antenna, and the Diamond-D777 is not made for those bands (It's a scanner antenna). I'll see if I can find a link to an ideal antenna for your radar box.
S@sammylad:
ok thank you for the help ....1 more lol...i have the sbs-1e base station i need to change the antenna fitting tobnc...
@Brunlea:
For an all-rounder, try a discone. I've got a Moonraker Scan King Vertical and I'm not that impressed with it. Wish I'd gone for a discone, I might replace it! For airband though, my Diamond D-777 is a beast, love it!
S@sammylad:
i have the bct15x and whistler trx-2 im new to it all so looking to a bit of everything
@Brunlea:
@sammylad what do you want to listen to? For airband I'd say the Diamond D-777 as that's a brilliant antenna.
S@sammylad:
whats the best antenna for whistler trx-2
@Brunlea:
I really hope Alinco update their programming software soon!
