Hello Folks,
I'm fairly new here and have not done this yet.
My interest in radio was started by my father.
Initially I did not have any great interest in what he was showing me or telling me.......but suddenly the bug bit!
I have played with radio ever since.
I started on HF but gradually found more interest in VHF and UHF.
I listen to/for (or have listened to/for) PMR, Aircraft, Broadcast, Amateur and Beacons.
At one time I sponsored a Belgian 1296MHz propagation beacon in his memory, as its call sign contained his initials TB, as he was stationed in Belgium during WWII and he was responsible for my interest in radio. Sadly the mega wealthy media companies evicted the beacon from the site.
As of the present, I am mostly listening for Broadcast FM DX on Band II (87.5MHz to 108MHz), OIRT (65MHz to 74MHz) and DAB/DAB+ DX on Band III (174MHz to 240MHz).
Also just a bit of Beacon listening on 1296MHz and 2320MHz.
Best regards, John.
