I've stopped using my Icom IC-R15 as my main airband receiver at home, it just picks up too much interference on my external antenna. Looks like I'll have to stick to taking it to airshows, etc. on the stock antenna it comes with. It's too sensitive to use on an external antenna IMO.
It's a shame as it has amazing scan speed, dual watch and has a damn beautiful display. The audio is clear and loud as well.
