You can download the programming software from the Alinco website on the following link. Scroll to the bottom where it says Downloads:

The programming software at this time is really lacking. No color codes, TG's, banks, etc., just frequencies, mode and names. I really hope they update the software soon as manually programming channels is very time consuming.

Activate Analog Voice Descrambler (AVD) using Firmware V3.90-008

1) Turn receiver on

2) Select a random VFO frequency ( example 433.000 MHz, NFM, step 12.5 kHz)

3) Push FUNC/LOCK button until a key appears in the display
(Now DJ-X100E is locked)

4) Enter on keypad the code 141421356
Each entry will create a BEEP because data is entered while receiver is locked

5) The display will show Japanese text, final option is YES/NO
The option NO is high lighted

6) Push button 4 to high light YES, push SET

7) Again the display will show Japanese text

8) Push again the button 4 and SET

9) For the 3rd time there will be Japanese text in the display

10) Push again the button 4 and SET

11) Now the DJ-X100E is back in start screen and is also UNLOCKED
(The key has disappeared)

12) Use FUNC/MODE to reach an option menu
Now one can select CTCSS or DCS, but also the option ‘VOICE REVERSE’

13) Select Voice Reverse ( 8 8 8 SET) and on next screen 8 SET to activate the function.

14) Use 8 to select Reverse Frequency ( standard 2500 Hz)

15) Push SET plus wanted frequency (use DIAL or several times 8) and finish with SET

16) Use MONI/SQL to leave the menu to the Start screen of DJ-X100E

17) In the display, right hand , bottom, is a new icon displayed to show AVD is activated

Note: Using AVD the volume of audio will be lower compared to using without AVD
Enjoy this feature !
