SO239 Conundrum

Has anyone any experience of this type of SO239 crimp connector?

SO239 Crimp Type Plug (6mm) (For RG58) - https://www.nevadaradio.co.uk/so239-crimp-type-plug-6mm-for-rg58

All the YouTube instruction videos are for the type where the coax core is soldered to a centre pin and inserted, and a ferrule then shoved up and crimped. The above type has no centre pin.

I have a suspicion that the coax core goes through the small hole in the closed end of the little cylinder and that it is then shoved, open end first all the way to the front of the plug. I've no idea how the coax core is secured (solder or not?) or how much is fed through the hole.

The supplier has promised instructions but are not being quick about it.

Hello scanhermit,
You've probably resolved this by now...
However:
Strange that it is called a Plug? 🤔
The PL259 is the Plug.
This is a cable mounted SO239 Socket.

Like you, I have no idea how the centre wire of the co-ax is securely connected to the centre connector of the socket in this unit.

Best regards, John.

Hello John, I didn't use this socket. The seller never got back to me despite me prodding them.

I'd intended to use this S0239 on the bottom end of a T2LT sonic could just attach whatever lengths of coax to it that I wanted.

Instead, I used a PL259 on the T2LT and used a double SO239 adapter to connect coax to it.
